Church groups of all kinds – Homegroups, Youth Groups, Mother’s Union, Alpha leaders, Clergy Teams or just your circle of friends – everyone is welcome at The Tower House.
The Tower Room is situated at the top of the windmill tower. It is accessed via the spiral staircase on the main floor just outside the living room. It was deliberately placed away from the main body of the House so that you physically remove yourself from distractions and deliberately go to be with God.
The Tower Room is a quiet place. It is simply furnished with a slate floor, 16 wooden collapsible chairs, a CD player, an NIV Bible and some literature. As it is a circular room, the acoustics are fantastic for singing and church groups can sound like a choir of angels!

Around the walls on the inside of The Tower Room is the verse from Habakkuk 2 v 1:
“I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me”
This verse led to the villa being called The Tower House. It is a place where we trust that our guests will encounter God in a very real way for themselves, whether they are people of faith or not.
When church groups stay at The Tower House, you are free to use The Tower Room as and when you please. Some groups use it for an evening compline, a communion service, a Bible study or group prayer. Individuals will also use it for private prayer.
If you’d like to bring a youth group, you will find that there is plenty of space, both inside and out. The swimming pool will be a clear attraction, as will the selection of giant garden games. There is a also a library/games area inside the villa, with seating and a table. This is great for those who find the heat too strong and want somewhere in the shade to play games.
The beach area itself is great for young people. There is a path from the villa down to the beach, that take about 12 minutes to walk. There is a watersports centre with jet skis, ringos, parascending etc (although you might need to check your church liability insurance, or arrange for disclaimers).
You will also find windsurfing school on the beach that caters for all levels. Lessons can be pre-booked. A gentle off-shore breeze makes for great sailing and surfing conditions, and a permanent lifeguard at the centre makes it very safe.
Excursions to waterparks, Kos Town, fishing trips and neighbouring islands can be easily arranged through local excursion companies. A visit to Nissyros, a dormant volcano is a must!
Although The Tower House is rented on a self-catering basis, we do understand that you don’t want to be tied to the kitchen on your holiday. We can arrange any level of catering that you require.

If you would like to bring an Alpha group, or a clergy team for a working holiday, you will find that The Tower House will work well for you.
The Tower Room will provide that separate space for discussion, work, prayer etc, whilst the rest of the house will enable you to rest, relax and be recharged. Just contact me and we can arrange to provide for your particular needs.
